Auger Gear Case
Check auger gear case lubricant level every 25 hours
of operation. Fill with Ariens Special L2 Gear Lube
(Part No. 000080).
To check, place unit in a warm location overnight to
allow lubricant to flow to level. RenfX}ve filler plug. Tip
unit forward until axle is 12 inches off smooth level
surface. Lubricant must be at least up to bottom of fill
hole with unit resting on 12 inch blocks under axle
(extra lubricant will not damage gear case).
